Town Weather - The Cape Town area luckily
has a Mediterranean type climate. That means that
you can travel there all year round and enjoy a wonderful
experience. During the summer months there are strong
winds that bring cool air to the city, mainly off
of the sea. During the winter there can be cold fronts
that come in and very strong rains. The winters are
relatively mild and there are sunny days too.
The official season in Cape Town
runs from October to March. The temperatures average
25 – 40°c during this time. In the summer
it is great weather for heading to the beach. Be sure
to pack all of your beach gear and get ready to have
some wonderful days in the sun. You will want to have
a light jacket along with you too for the evenings
when it cools down a bit.
During the months of June through August temperatures
range 2 – 20°c so you will want to have
warmer clothing during that time. From August through
October is the best time to come to Cape Town
for while watching. The weather is comfortable and
there is so much to do.
